Leaving from Rio de Janeiro:

Coche – After going over the Rio-Niterói Bridge, take the most leftward exit (going towards Rio Bonito), going along the Rio-Manilha highway for 25 Km, then following the BR-101 highway for 36 Km until Rio Bonito and take a right at Via Lagos (with toll booths), going towards the Lake Region.

At Via Lagos go another 68 Km, until São Pedro da Aldeia, then another 13 Km until Cabo Frio, and at the São Cristóvão cloverleaf, at the end of Avenida América Central, get on the RJ-140 highway, which links Cabo Frio to Arraial do Cabo at 10Km.

From Cabo Frio, simply proceed to Arraial do Cabo, using the local bus lines (Salineira) that pass by the entrance to the Villas Boas.

Travel time: 3 hours.

Leaving from São Paulo:

Coche - Go to Rio by the Via Dutra highway, or take the Ayrton Sena and Carvalho Pinto routes and enter Dutra highway in Taubaté. Take the Linha Vermelha route and the Rio Niterói Bridge. From then on, follow the instructions for "Leaving from Rio", above.

Autobús - At Rodoviária Tietê Bus Station - Auto-Viação 1001 company
Tel: 11 4004-5001. Take the bus for Cabo Frio.
Daily: 21:50h and 22:30h

Travel time: 8 hours.

From Cabo Frio, simply proceed to Arraial do Cabo, using the local bus lines (Salineira) that pass by the entrance to the Villas Boas.

Leaving from Belo Horizonte:

Coche - Take the Rodovia Br 040 highway until the entrance to Magé/Rio Bonito, or travel on the Br-040 highway until Rio. Take the Linha Vermelha route and the Rio Niterói Bridge. From then on, follow the instructions for "Leaving from Rio", above.
